Kuroko no Basuke 2 episode 03
Another good episode for the Kuroko no Basuke series! It’s like they took a syringe of comedy and injected it straight into the episode. This episode was funny as hell. I know the story is supposed to be serious most of the time, but I kind of like it like this.
This episode was booby-trapped with jokes. Like that scene where Kuroko pretended to be there when he was actually late. You can’t blame the guy. He could’ve gotten away with it since nobody really takes notice of him. If only he wasn’t sweaty and out of breath… Not to mention how he deals with Taiga and his temper.
Also, the scenes where Taiga hit his head against the hoop and/or simple fell on the floor after another one of his insane jumps where hilarious. Of course, the prize goes to the scene where that cocky rooky from the opposing team made fun of Riko’s looks. I watched that scene three times before I finally continued with the rest of the episode. It was really, really funny.
Anyway, Teppei is back in action and it really shows. That guy and his huge hands made a huge difference by making Seirin’s weak point the strongest point, which would be the new-found ability to get a lot of rebounds, thereby allowing other players to shoot freely without having to worry about the consequences. Sure, I am aware that a single player could balance out a team, nothing new about that. In fact, that happens all the time. It’s just… I think they did this brilliantly. They gave him a nice review, told us a bit about his past, and explained to us what it is that makes that guy so special on the field. Definitely a memorable episode.
