Kyoukai no Kanata
Nice! This season is starting out pretty good. I’m a pretty big fan of shows where characters have special abilities. The bad thing about these types of shows is that the characters sometimes gain an unexplainable power boost that messed up the story.
Anyway, the artwork is pretty good. They focused quite a bit on the details and the characters look pretty interesting. It’s no surprise that Mirai-chan is probably going to be everyone’s favourite character. Especially since she has such an interesting ability.
I’m guessing, based on what I’ve seen so far, that the story is what really counts here. It’s quite original, it’s interesting and it could easily run many months without it getting boring.
I most certainly recommend this show. It’s interesting, pretty funny, has a hint of romance and a lot of supernatural action. I’m pretty sure that this show will prove to be quite memorable when it finished airing.
Plot Summary: Akihito Kanbara is a high school sophomore in the literature club who believes himself to be a “Meganest”, and although he appears to be human, he is actually half Yōmu, which makes him invulnerable to wounds, due to the fact that he can heal so quickly, and also immortal. One day, Akihito meets freshman Mirai Kuriyama when it appears as if she is about to attempt suicide by jumping off of the school rooftop. Mirai is isolated because of her ability to manipulate blood, which is considered heresy even among other members of the underworld, so she is shunned. Soon after Akihito saves Mirai, disturbing events begin to arise.
