Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon 2 episodes 12 & 13
I wanted to write last week’s post last week, but the insufferable pain in my hand wouldn’t let me. No matter, one (small) post should be enough for me to express my opinion of these final two episodes. A quick summary; I’m not entirely satisfied.
Let us all keep in mind that we have been watching one huge fight. A fight that pretty much started thirteen episodes ago. Now, I’m ‘okay’ with how things ended, even though Tenzou’s new girlfriend finished the job instead of Horizon, but I’m not entirely satisfied with the story in general, which is strange (considering how much I enjoyed it).
The main reason why I’m not entirely satisfied would be Toori. Let’s face it; the guy’s an eyesore. He was funny in the first season. He had a mission, a group of friends that backed him up and the willpower to succeed. He even pitched in at times, but this… This was thirteen episodes where he ran around naked, where he was completely useless. And to think that he started all of this (again)…
Anyway, the ending was a little strange. Not only did they give us clues about the possibility of a third season, but it just doesn’t feel like an ending. Horizon obtained (part of) her emotions (I think?) and headed out with Toori and the rest to repair their fleet. Not much was said about Horizon’s emotions, the Deadly Sin Armaments in general or the current situation revolving around England. I guess we will just have to accept the fact that this is the season’s end, with the possibility of a next season in the (near) future. Just to clarify; it’s possible that there’s going to be another season, but absolutely nothing has been said yet, so don’t get your hopes!
