Why? Why in the world does this show piss me off so much? It’s almost like this show is trying to make fun of Sword Art Online or the Dot Hack series, even though it doesn’t even come close to being as good as any of those shows.
The artwork looks pretty good and the characters definitely look unique and interesting. I really have nothing bad to say about the artwork. Even the character expressions are funny and interesting, which isn’t something that I say a lot when I review new anime.
The story is the problem here… It’s been done dozens of times before. People get stuck in a game or wake up in a world and find themselves unable to leave.
I have no problems recommending this, but I want to have it said that I wouldn’t have given this show twenty-five episodes. I’d rather give the second Freezing season a few more episodes. Still, adventure and fantasy fans are probably going to love this one.
