Magi 2 episode 02
I shamefully decided to write about Magi’s second season. I passed up on the first season because I thought the story was far from original, that it was just a copy of one of Disney’s stories. I cannot believe how wrong I was, honestly.
Magi has shown me many great things. Take this episode; I have seen many, many unique characters. I saw characters that we knew, a king and a princess, transform in new characters with the help of their household vessels. It makes me a little disappointed in myself for thinking that this show lacked originality.
I’m quite glad by how things turned out. Aladdin lost a precious friend this week and decided to go abroad to learn magic on his own. He didn’t want any of his friends to come with him. He’s determined to do this alone, knowing full well that he’s entering a country that’s probably run by the enemy.
All of the characters have their own ideals, their own desires and their own missions, I love that! Saluja just wants his people to live in peace without having to worry about them starving to death. Aladdin wants to learn magic so that he can help Saluja become king. Morgiana wants more power and more knowledge about her people. Those three will make a great team. It’s unclear as to what Sinbad wants. He says one thing and does another. Judal’s life mission is clear; stop his family from doing any more wrong, provided he was honest about that. All I really know for certain is that this is going to be yet another amazing season that I’m definitely going to watch and write about.
