Magi 2 episode 05
This episode certainly was noticeably better than last week’s episode. Last week’s episode basically sent me back to season one when it comes to character progress. I seriously hope that the can keep this up this time.
The last episode really got to me because Aladdin was captured so easily. His friends didn’t really do all that they could to stop that from happening. Then again; neither did Aladdin. He’s supposed to be an all-powerful Magi that could change the world with the right spell, yet he was captured by a bunch of kids and their magical toys.
This episode was a little bit better, just a little. I’m still not entirely satisfied. Did you notice how Hakuryuu was still the only one that ended up equipping his Djinn? Alibaba should’ve been able to use Amon’s powers and Morgiana obtained a weapon of her very own, although her legs count as weapons, too.
I’m just glad that Aum’s powers are finally out in the open. She has the ability to put people under her spell, making them think that they’re seeing and hearing their mother. I never knew that that could be so powerful. I just can’t relate to it. I guess I’m one of those very few people that simply refused to use his mother as a role model.
Anyway, Hakuryuu, being the only one that used his Djinn’s powers, also turned out to be the only under the influence of Aum’s annoying ability. The others broke free, realizing that it wasn’t really their mothers that they were seeing and hearing. Hakuryuu is going to need a good ol’ ass whooping in order to get his sh*t together again. We’ll see…
