Here we go again! Let the big breasts bounce, the curvy asses shake and the supernatural powers destroy everything… Maken-Ki is back! I’m afraid I won’t be writing about the second season. I found it very hard to muster a few decent lines during the first episode. The episodes contained too much fan service for me to write up proper reviews without coming across as some kind of demonic pervert.
The artwork is still as amazing as ever. The characters still look great, sexy and too erotic to be on regular television, the details are as nice as ever and the action is still as fluid as I can remember. Good times are definitely coming.
Story is interesting. I always thought that it was and I never stopped thinking that. That being said, I believe that is too much fan service for me to take the story serious. It’s got a nice foundation but I wouldn’t really call it amazing.
All the ecchi fans will lover this. People that enjoy watching characters with super powers might, too. I couldn’t possibly recommend it to other people. It’s just too much fan service and not much else.
Plot Summary: Takeru Ohyama, a young normal yet perverted minded guy, got accepted and now goes to a school that, unknown to him, was where combat and magic is used. On the first day, he meets again after three years: Haruko Amaya, his childhood friend, Inaho Kushiya, a girl who says she’s his fiance, and Kodama Himegami, a blonde who wants to kill him. Finding out that there are many girls there that just don’t like him, he is told that everyone there uses a special magic ability while using an item or weapon called a Maken. Later, he finds that no Maken is acceptable for him and doesn’t know what to do, since in this school the students get into duels that showcase their magic and combat power, of which he seemingly has none.
