Moyashimon Returns

This is one messed up show. Where else but in Japan do you see an animated show with a cross dresser, a dominatrix and a guy who can see and talk to bacteria? I for one can’t believe that his anime has a second season. Hell, I can’t even believe it has a first season.

The artwork is pretty well done. I have to be honest about that. The characters are semi-memorable and leave nothing to the imagination. Even those little bacteria creatures look pretty decent. Although, I do believe that this type of artwork appeals more to children than anything else, despite the fact that the show has a dominatrix and a tranny.

I have to admit that the concept is very original and unique, so thumbs up for that one. I don’t think that people would watch this anime because of the story though. It’s good if you don’t mind a cheap laugh, but other than that…

I’m afraid that I can’t really recommend this. It’s dull, the comedy is pretty lame and the anime isn’t really child-friendly, even though it looks like it’s made for the younger generation. It’s a decent anime if you don’t mind a cheap laugh and a truckload of supernatural nonsense where you get educated in all sorts of things by talking bacteria.

Plot Summary: Enter Tadayasu, a freshmen college student who can see and talk to cute, chibi bacteria and other microscopic organisms. It’s not all fun and games like it sounds though, because it gets him into all sorts of trouble. Join Tadayasu as he enters his first year at the Agriculture University, what crazy events await him?

  1. it aint that bad. it can get really funny at times but you have to have an open mind…
