Nagato Yuki-chan no Shoushitsu
I understand, Japan. I really, really do. Spring is here, girls are starting to wear less clothing again and they are more vulnerable because they are probably still insecure about their weight since the latest holidays. More time for romance, which also means more romance on TV, right, Japan? I understand.
This is another one of those romantic anime where the characters simply look so plain and boring. I mean, if you were to put those girls in a random line-up then you wouldn’t be able to recognize them at all. Even their uniforms are boringly plain. I find that very disappointing. At least the protagonist looks alright…
Now, it is going to be one of those high school romance stories. I know from experience that those tend to be come really predictable. Still, a lot of them are really good. Part of me hopes that this is going to be one of them, but it is still too soon for me to say.
Do I recommend it? Well, I’ve only seen the first episode, but I can only recommend it to romance fans. The rest wouldn’t be all that interested since this doesn’t stand out. It’s not amazing and it doesn’t really look special enough for me to recommend it to everyone.
