Naruto Shippuuden episode 254

I have to admit, I wasn’t actually looking forward to this week’s episode. I already knew what they were going to do and how it was going to end. It’s not just that the episode could’ve been better. it’s that they could’ve taken it more seriously.

The episode starts with Naruto and the rest preparing for yet another mission. Things will be difficult for them now that Kisame’s intel successfully reached the Akatsuki. That shouldn’t have happened, but what’s done is done. That’s when Naruto was given a stupid mission in order to keep his mind occupied. They don’t want him to find out about the upcoming war, because everyone knows that he will go rushing back to the battlefield in order to help out his friends. I understand that, but did the first half of this week’s episode have to be this ridiculous? It was almost like watching another one of those ridiculous fillers.

Meanwhile Kabuto was trying to persuade Tobi into giving him one of Zetsu’s parasites. You don’t have to be a genius to know what he wants. Kabuto has always followed stronger people in order to obtain power himself, only to stab those very people in the back when they have outlived their purpose. He’s a dreadful person, really, but it just doesn’t change the fact that he managed to survive this long due to that mentality of his. He revived several people, including Deidara, a former Akatsuki member, and is now planning to use those abilities for his own personal gain. He mustn’t get a hold of one of Zetsu’s parasites though, because he would be able to do the craziest things.

It surprised me a little bit by how much knowledge Tobi shared with him. He revealed the first Hokage, told him about several aspects of his plan and showed him his vast Zetsu army of no less than 100.000 Zetsu’s. Kabuto is not the type that will just stand idly by as Tobi takes control. He must have something up his sleeve, especially now that he has seen what they are capable of.

It’s pretty much as I said; this episode wasn’t that bad, but it could’ve been a lot better if they hadn’t messed up the first half. The second half was pretty exciting, especially with the Tsuchikage showing up to stop Kabuto and half-dead Deidara. I wouldn’t say that I have high hopes for next week’s episode, but I’m looking forward to it.

Naruto Shippuuden episode 254 screencaps

  1. it wasnt that bad but I do wish they would stop with these overdoses of comedy

p.s. kabuto looks like shit nowadays

  2. how it’s possible that the first hokage still alive ?? we know that orochimaru has revive him in the battle with the 3rd hokage so..?

    • GameDemon says:

I’m not entirely sure, but my guess is that the third Hokage didn’t kill the first.

However, the Edo Tensei will continue even if the caster dies. So Orochimaru may be dead, but his Edo Tensei is still active. I’m guessing that the first is still alive because of Orochimaru’s Edo Tensei.
