Naruto Shippuuden episode 261

What a relief. I’m really glad that the rumours were true about the main story resuming against this week. I really don’t think I could’ve taken another filler like that. I would probably have dropped the show. Still, this episode was quite interesting.

Tobi’s army is finally heading out, and so are Kabuto’s resurrected slaves. Fighting against thousands of wood-type parasites is hard enough without having to fight your (dead) loved ones, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we were to see a lot of casualties. They don’t actually focus on that, not even in the manga, but I’m sure that they will point out how many people lost their lives.

It seems that most of Kabuto’s slaves still have their personality, even though he could erase their memories. He probably won’t though, because he wants to use those memories against his opponents. He thinks that it gives him yet another edge, as most people wouldn’t normally fight their family and/or friends.

Yeah, that is really disturbing. What’s even more disturbing is that the united Shinobi force may not be as united as we thought. Many soldiers are arguing amongst themselves. That’s not very surprising, because every village has an enemy or two. It even came to the point where fights broke loose. My, my, my… That is not a good sign. It took a lot of effort on Gaara’s part to end all conflict and to motivate them to fight their enemies.

I can’t wait to see what happens next week. Naruto’s training should end soon, so he will (spoiler alert) be heading out soon to help his friends in their fight against Tobi’s army. Oh, by the way, is it just me, or was the fifth and latest Naruto movie a big disappointment? Could be just me though…
