Naruto Shippuuden episode 263

It turned out to be a good episode. Not exactly what I had in mind, but that’s alright. I was kind of hoping to see a battle between Sasori and Kankuro, but that was not the case. I think that a lot of people were looking forward to a battle between the two puppet-jutsu users.

I know I just said that, but there were battles alright. Sai was finally reunited with his old friend and learned about what happened during their childhood. I’ve never seen Sai so emotional. He used to be a cold-hearted killer. I guess listening to Danzo does that to a person, which makes me all the happier that he’s finally dead. I never liked that man. He was way too interested in power.

Anyway, all these people are under the influence of Kabuto’s Edo Tensei, which means that they are theoretically immortal. They cannot be killed for as long as their souls remain in this world, huh? Interesting. What’s even more interesting is that they found a weakness to the Edo Tensei; make the individual realize their emotions and whatnot, and you cancel the Edo Tensei. I guess Kabuto’s Jutsu is still imperfect, despite his big mouth about how great he supposedly is.

Both Sasori and Sai’s childhood friend were released from Kabuto’s Jutsu, finally allowing them to rest in peace. They will be having their hands full with Deidara, yet another old Akatsuki member. They will have to keep that guy sealed until they find a way to trigger his emotions, annulling the Edo Tensei by doing so. It may be a guess on my part, but I think that his former clan members may be able to help with that. I don’t even think that it has to be someone close to the individual. It should theoretically be enough if you know (a lot) about the individual’s past.

It was all very interesting to watch. But the big finish is when Tobi finally realized that he was underestimating Kabuto. Sure, he still thinks he’s in completely control, but I doubt that he will continue to underestimate Kabuto now. He already knows that he’s hiding something. I guess Kabuto doesn’t want him to know that his Edo Tensei is far from being perfect, because that would make Kabuto fairly useless again. I wonder, is Kabuto, even with his newly obtained Sage Mode, capable of defeating Tobi, a man that possesses both the Mangekyou Sharingan and Rinnegan? Hmm..

Is Madara alive completely? Before Madara used the Edo Tensei release himself, his face had “cracks” on his skin. Now he looks no different than any other character (skin is normal). So does that mean he is brought back to life completely?
