Naruto Shippuuden episode 337
Great episode! The start had me worried there for a minute. I thought we were going to make yet another drive in Kabuto’s past, which is something I honestly don’t care for. He’s a B character with a semi-interesting story that’s worth about half an episode (at most).
I was kind of surprised to see some old faces (so to speak). I had completely forgotten that Kabuto absorbed certain characters into his body in order to acquire their Jutsu. Orochimaru was amongst them, and that’s the one character we need to look at right now. But that’s still in the future and I’m not a big fan of spoilers.
I have waited so long to see the fight between Kabuto and the Uchiha brothers. I’m extremely happy now that it’s actually here, but I’m also quite nervous because it was over pretty fast in the manga. I’m kind of hoping to see a bit more Itachi-related action, seeing as I’m a huge fan of that particular character. He’s number one for all I care!
This episode focussed primarily on one of the Uchiha’s most powerful Genjutsu. We all know about Izanagi, a Justsu that somehow bends reality to its user’s will. This episode focusses on Itachi and his use of Izanami, a Jutsu that affects its target through physical sensations shared between the target and the user.
Izanagi is known to alter one’s destiny, but Izanami is the Jutsu that helps one decide destiny. It causes the user, just like with the Izanagi, to lose one eye permanently. This is no problem in Itachi’s case. Let’s not forget that he’s already dead. I’m just really curious about what’s to come. I cannot wait to see Kabuto on his knees as he looks up to a much greater opponent. Itachi equals god, don’t you dare forget that.
