A supernatural romance, awesome! It’s definitely a piece with a lot of potential, but I already knew that as soon as I read the full story when it became known that the anime had been green-lit. It’s safe to say that I have been waiting for this one, and that I will probably write about it as well.
The artwork is great, absolutely great. Rokka, one of the main characters, looks very unique. A woman with short hair and a boyish charm, how could anyone forget a face like that? The majority of all heroines are usually all very feminine, but not this one. Sure, she has some femininity, but it’s not ‘overflowing’. She’s just a regular widow with a flower shop.
The story is key here, definitely. A story about a widow with her own flower shop, stalked by her deceased husband’s spirit and followed by a love-struck teenager that would do anything for her. How could you not love the sound of that? It invites comedy, romance and quite a bit of drama.
Yes. A definite yes on whether you should watch this or not. I mean, just give it a try, at least. I bet that most romance and drama fans will absolutely love this one. How could they not? It’s brilliant. Like I said; this anime has a lot of potential.
Plot Summary: Hazuki may be near-sighted, but he knows true beauty when he sees it and the delicate form of flower shop owner Rokka draws him in like a bee to honey. So, hoping to cultivate a relationship between them, Hazuki takes a part time job at her shop, only to discover two huge thorns preventing the nurturing of any romance. The first, the fact that Rokka is still grieving for her late husband Shimao, would be enough to snip most men’s ardor short, but it’s the second that really threatens to make Hazuki’s forlorn hopes wilt. Because while Shimao is most definitely deceased, he hasn’t yet departed and his spirit is still living in Rokka’s apartment! Except only Hazuki can see him, which leads to a very strange romantic triangle indeed. Are Hazuki’s chances with Rokka as dead as the man who still lives in her house? Or can he somehow make love blossom even though there’s an interloper pushing up the daisies between them?
