Oregairu

I know it’s hard to be completely unique nowadays, but this is ridiculous. Mind you, already knew it would turn out like this as soon as I read the plot summary. I’m just not a big fan of these types of story, that’s all.

OregairuIt’s definitely not the artwork, although none of the characters look that amazing. There’s very little to no uniqueness in this show. I for one would not be able to pick any of the characters out of a line-up, plus the backgrounds could use a little touch-up too.

The story, if anything, is what’s dragging the show down. It’s absolutely nothing special. The story in itself is interesting, but for how long can something like this be interesting? How long can something that’s already done so many times be interesting? Just another story about problematic students with social problems that decided to set up a club to help one another out.

Do you like this sort of thing? Go for it. Are you not familiar with this sort of thing? Go for it. Are you familiar with this sort of thing and not that big a fan? Leave it and watch something that’s more to your liking instead.

Plot Summary: This romantic comedy revolves around an antisocial high school student named Hikigaya Hachiman with a distorted view on life and no friends or girlfriend. When he see his classmates talking excitedly about living their adolescent lives, he mutters, They’re a bunch of liars. When he is asked about his future dreams, he responds, Not working. A teacher gets Hachiman to join the volunteer service club, which happens to have the school’s prettiest girl, Yukinoshita Yukino.
