Oreimo 2 episode 08

No! Please, god, no! This could’ve been a prefect episode! It feels like they made me watch something amazing, get my hopes up as I map out countless future scenarios, only to shove their fist elbow-deep up my ass at the very last second. Why?

[HorribleSubs] Oreimo S2 - 08 [720p].mkv_snapshot_04.44_[2013.05.26_22.54.14]It was like I was lured into it. The episode started out with a roughed-up Kyousuke on the couch and his cute sister there to patch him up again. That in itself was quite unusual but I didn’t seek anything behind it. I thought it was the same old thing with the same old characters, especially when Kirino walked away angry again. Nothing new there…

Then they started making me happy again by focussing on Kyousuke and Riri. I was happy for god’s sake! How could I not enjoy the sight of Ruri in that hilarious, yet cute white dress? She looked absolutely adorable. The only thing that was missing was a merry-go-round to put her in, but I guess that that’s going too far.

[HorribleSubs] Oreimo S2 - 08 [720p].mkv_snapshot_15.43_[2013.05.26_22.54.56]Quite frankly, the speed in which they progressed amazed me. They had their first date, Kyousuke met her family and even Kirino was told about their relationship. That’s when things went south. Riri noticed that Kirino wasn’t really processing their relationship very well, and that it might cause problems later on.

It was the first time that I actually wished for Kirino to go back to America again. Ruri and Kyousuke shouldn’t have to break up over something like that, so why is it that Ruri seems to think differently? Why is it that she feels to need to break up with him now? Those last five seconds really ruined an otherwise perfect episode. Why, Ruri?
