Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai! episode 03

Alright, so I just finished watching the episode, which was no easy task. It wasn’t that bad, I mean… I was expecting to see a lot of drama, a lot of painful emotions, but it turned out to be pretty decent. Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai just got a lot more interesting to watch.

So the family just got over a big shock, a shock that changed their lives forever. Especially for Yuuta, as the poor kid went from a temporary babysitter to a full-time guardian. He took the girls home with them, apparently without the say-so from other family members. Nuts, if you did that here then the police and child protection services would be all over you in no-time. To hell with you if you get robbed, but you better not take any kids, as that appears to be the local mentality here.

It surprised me a little bit by how the girls adapted so quickly. They were cheerful, but that was probably only to put up appearances. It’s poor little Hina that didn’t fully understand the situation, as she was constantly asking about her parents. Who could blame her? She’s just a little child, death should be the least of her problems right about now.

Putting all that aside; Yuuta still has to option to return the girls. Sure, he can offer them a life together, but would that be a good life, a fair life? The guy’s a student for Christ sake, what could he possibly offer them? It would be nothing less than a miracle if a student could take care of himself as well as three little girls. That’s just the finances I’m talking about, but a lot of time goes in to raising children, the kind of time a college student might not have.

Still, we all know that Yuuta won’t give up the girls; we get that just by reading the show’s plot summary. I am rather curious about how he’s going to get this all done, especially in an apartment that barely has room for them all to sleep in. One thing is for sure; Yuuta will have to give up a lot of things in order to get and maintain a lifestyle in which he can raise these girls.

I can’t wait for the next episode. I think we’re going to see some rough stuff next week, especially when he will have to get them into some good schools. I hope Yuuta’s sister left him a lot of money, because he’s going to need it, especially when it comes to paying for their education.

Oh, one more thing… does anyone know why the drama-level is so high in this show? Well, that’s because this story is based on a true story. In fact; a lot of people live their lives in similar circumstances, but most people don’t stop to think about those possibilities. There are a lot of people, no matter whom; children, adults, you name it, which go through many of these difficult situations every day while we sit aimlessly behind our screens. That’s why I give this show two dumbs up, because it’s a total eye-opener.
