Parasyte episode 02
Awww yeah! Parasyte just keeps getting better and better. I am not at all a big fan of dubstep, but Parasyte makes it work! Certain scenes are just so much better with dubstep in the background. Very well done, Japan. To think that this type of music, which was created in 1990 or 1991 I believe, has become incredibly popular over the past year.
So the protagonist, Shinichi, is trying to get used to his new parasitic friend. It is noticeable how little he tries to use that hand. He obviously doesn’t trust that parasite, whom has been given the name Migi. Can I blame him for that? No. The first thing he did was grope the heroine’s breasts (good job, Migi) and during this episode he knocked a bully, whom was bullying Shinichi because he was jealous of his relationship with Satomi-chan, a few metres away. I am pretty sure the guy lost consciousness for a couple of seconds before he ran away screaming.
Shinichi is having a very hard time with all of this newfound information. He know knows that people are being slain by those mysterious parasites, but he also realizes that some people just aren’t worth saving. He assumes that Migi will just help him defeat all of those hostile parasites, which is a terrible miscalculation on his part.
Migi is brilliant. I love that character. That create is obviously far more intelligent than your average human being and does everything in a way that ensures his survival. He puts himself before anything else and has no problems making that very clear to Shinichi. That being said, how long will Migi stay passive when Shinichi is constantly putting them in danger by seeking out hostile parasites? This will seriously be very interesting.
