Queen’s Blade: Rebellion

And so it returns. I have made it pretty clear over these past few months that I’m a big fan of ecchi anime, but this is too much. It crossed the ecchi border a long time ago, and is now closing in on hentai. Seriously, fan service is one thing, but this is almost soft-core hentai.

That being said, I think the artwork looks pretty darn good. It’s very pleasant to watch and it is pretty detailed too. I think that Bante, one of the characters, looks pretty good. I wish they wouldn’t constantly whip out their breasts like that, because I think that a little mystery could do this show good.

The story is still as complex as ever. Not much has changed since the last season, which is good and bad. It’s good that they’re sticking with it, but it’s kind of bad because the show’s ratings have always been average. There’s a lot of room for improvement, so I think that a few small changes here and there could crank up those ratings a bit.

I recommend this only to those who don’t mind the mild nudity in this show, who don’t mind watching pointless battles between poorly dressed girls. Like I said, it contains a sh*t-load of fan service, but even I have difficulty with it sometimes. Me, someone who absolutely loves pretty much any ecchi anime.

Plot Summary: After the 30th Queen’s Blade, Claudette becomes the queen. At first, she governs the country well by abolishing the heavy taxes and the aristocracy. However, her reign turns into terrorism by power and the Queen’s Blade is repealed. The Princess Knight of Rebellion, Annelotte organizes a rebel army and declares war against Claudette.
