Reply to several E-mails

Okay, it has come to my attention that every now and again I get E-mails from people asking things like; “why don’t you grade animes with the one to ten system?”

The answer is actually very simple; I just don’t. When I write about a certain show it’s because of what I’ve seen so far. I can like a show for the first few episodes, but they could very well completely f*ck up the rest, causing their “grade” to drop. I just can’t be bothered to keep all those numbers up-to-date.

Besides, I don’t think one could just rate an entire show based on just one episode. It’s stupid, unfair and pointless. The story needs time to develop, it would be pointless to start with hardcore action right away. You could perhaps start to rate more seriously after you’ve seen episodes two and three.

I would like to end this post by sharing this well-known quote with you; “never judge a book by it’s cover.”
