Rinne no Lagrange

Okay, I did not expect this one. Sure, I read a little bit about this show, but I quickly clicked away when I read some very confusing things about a girl in some jersey club. The translation on, for legal reasons I cannot name the site, must have been off, because the description on their site was very confusing.

Sure, the show and I started out the wrong way, but things didn’t seem that bad when I actually started watching.

The artwork just keeps both of your eyes on target, it’s absolutely not a bother to watch, if anything. It looked good, so I got curious about the voices behind the characters. I did some research and I found out that a lot of the voice actresses are actually pretty well-known and worked in many great shows.

But, the story leaves a bit to be desired. Sure, the first episode had everything; a funny girl, an ecchi moment when that girl’s pants got pulled down, mystery and, at the end, quite some action. I expected this show to be about that girl’s school-life, when things suddenly turned gundam-style.

I honestly don’t know what to say about this show. I know Mecha fans will love this one, but what about your everyday viewers? I guess you’ll just have to try this one, it’s, if anything, worth trying.

Plot Summary: Madoka is the lone member of her school’s Jersey Club. She is one day recruited by a mysterious girl named Lan to pilot the robot “Vox” and protect her city from space invaders. They are joined by a third girl, Muginami, who has a different goal than Ran. Meanwhile, they still don’t know their enemies’ true goal, or what “Rinne” might be.
