Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo episode 02
You know, a lot of the shows this season revolve around romance. I like that. There’s nothing bad about a very good romance. The one thing that attracted me to this show was the heroine, Mashiro. She’s far too interesting to ignore. I can’t help myself but to wonder about she’s about to do next.
Speaking about Mashiro, let’s focus on her for a bit. She’s a sweet, but clueless girl. She knows nothing about the world or the people in it. She’s like a new-born; fascinated by everything and willing to listen to anyone. She only knows how to draw manga, and she’s good at it too, but her stories suffer due to her lack of human contact. I suppose that she’s always been a shut-in, only coming outside when she really had to. There’s nothing wrong with that. Most geniuses, from what I’ve heard, have problems socializing with others.
Mashiro, as sweet as she is, relies completely on Sorata. She is fascinated by him. She constantly clings to him, hoping to learn more about him and the outside world. That in itself isn’t very dangerous. But the fact that she listens to others is. It would be very problematic if she were to listen to the wrong person.
I have high hopes for this show and I’m looking forward to the next episode. It would be nice if Sorata was a bit more aggressive though. He likes Mashiro, he likes being around her when she’s not costing him a lot of money, so just go for it already. No guts no glory!
