Hmm, it’s not bad, not bad at all. I was put off at first when I read the plot. I thought that it was going to be another one of those morbid shows, but it wasn’t all that bad. I suppose it isn’t a bad thing to have to zombie shows running this season, even though this one isn’t half as good as Kore wa Zombie Desu Ka? of the Dead.
The artwork is actually pretty impressive. It is thoroughly detailed and it contains a lot of great scenes. It came is no surprise to me that there were a few ecchi scenes mixed in, after all… it’s kind of a horror anime, isn’t it? I think that ecchi and horror goes hand in hand, just look at High School of the Dead, exact same thing with the exact same chemistry, and it became a hit because of that.
The story is pretty intriguing. Chihiro, the protagonist, who seems to be into necrophilia, only has eyes for zombies. The story starts when his cat suddenly gets hit by a car, so he attempts to resurrect it as a zombie using an old book to guide him. This is when he meets a young, cute girl by the name of Rea, a girl with issues of her own. They seemed to hit it off pretty well too.
Believe it or not, but I do recommend this show strongly. It has a lot of unexpected comedy, horror, romance and ecchi, which I believe is a pretty darn good mixture to create a hit. It is too early to tell right now, but I still have high hopes in this anime, so I will definitely be watching it, and I suggest that you do too.
Plot Summary: Chihiro Furuya, who loves zombies above all else, meets the sweet girl Rea Sanka by chance, and he ropes her into “resurrecting” his dead cat. But then Rea claims she actually has become a zombie, and asks him to take responsibility for it.
