Sanzoku no Musume Ronja
This could’ve been something really good. It really could have been. I am just really disappointed in the artwork.
The artwork itself looks good. I like that oldskool style. That being said, the characters ruin everything. It looks ridiculous. It looks like they were aiming for 2.5D characters and stopped halfway. The sceneries look very nice, but those 2.25D characters just don’t fit in.
The story might good. Good enough for me to ignore the lacking artwork? No. Not at all.
I cannot recommend this. The artwork is completely ruined because of those characters and the story isn’t nearly good enough to make up for that flaw. I won’t be watching this and I see no reason for you to either.
Plot Summary: Ronja is the only daughter of Mattis, a bandit leader who lives in a castle in the middle of a large forest. When Ronja grows old enough, she ventures into the forest to interact the strange and magical creatures that live there. She learns to live in the forest through her own strength, with the occasional rescue from her parents. Ronja’s life begins to change, however, when she happens upon a boy her own age named Birk.
