Secret Shungiku Nakamura project announced

The April issue of Kadokawa Group Publishing’s Ciel Trés Trés magazine is announcing on Wednesday that there is a new anime from boys-love manga creator Shungiku Nakamura in the works.

According to a copy of the magazine issue that ANN obtained, “the ‘new anime’ in production that is being announced is not Hybrid Child.” The magazine already announced a Hybrid Child anime project last July. While Ciel Trés Trés says that the new anime is “still secret,” more details will be announced in the next issue of the magazine on March 30.

Nakamura’s Junjō Romantica manga already inspired two anime seasons in 2008, and Right Stuf licensed both for North America. A second anime series based on Nakamura’s Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi manga premiered last October, and Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.

The second Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi anime series included an adaptation of Nakamura’s Junjō Romantica manga spinoff Junjō Mistake, and there was also a Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi original anime DVD last year.
