Seitokai Yakuindomo 2
I’m going to ask myself the exact same thing after I saw the first season: What in the name of all that is strange and messed up did I just see? Why is it that only the strangest of shows are guaranteed a second season, no matter how the results turn out? Seriously, this was one hell of a way to start a second season… My goodness…
The artwork is exactly the same. They still focus on the characters and the details are still as impressive as ever. Needless to say that Suzu-chan is by far my most favourite character on the show. She’s just too damn adorable and funny.
The story is messed up. It doesn’t make any sense and it will only lead to strange thoughts and stomach pains due to all the laughing. Have you ever seen a season pilot where a vibrator actually fell out of a character in the middle of a busy street? That stuff just doesn’t happen. It should happen. It’s absolutely wrong that it happened and the author should be terribly ashamed. I loved it.
Shut up. Don’t think. Don’t ask and don’t you even dare to click this website away at this point. That’s right. You need to give this Seitokai Yakuindomo a try. It might just be the funniest piece of the season. I definitely think it’s worth watching.
Plot Summary: The stage is set at Ousai Private Academy which, due to declining birth rates, has transitioned from an all-girls high school to a co-ed. The current ratio of male to female students is 28:524. In this “paradise”, Tsuda Takatoshi is unceremoniously pushed into the job as vice-president of the student council. The student council has a very strict image. However, the female council members are less than orthodox…
Amakusa Shino, council president, a stickler for rules, and likes to violently enforce them. Hagimura Suzu, the council treasurer is an excessively under-tall girl with an IQ of 180, who likes heights to be able to look down on others. And finally, Shichijou Aria, the council secretary, a well-meaning airhead with a slightly perverted streak.
