Selector Infected WIXOSS
Wooh! What’s this now? I honestly thought that this was going to be one of those horrible, childish and unbearable card game-related shows. No! It was actually quite amusing. It sort of reminds of Devil Survivor 2 and C: The money of Soul and Possibility Control.
The artwork definitely is not a budget production. It’s quite detailed and the characters all look superb. I saw a lot of unique features and I’m digging the setting so far. I definitely wouldn’t mind watching the remaining eleven episodes if they are like this one.
You find out that it’s a show about a certain card game. Your mind almost immediately goes to Yu-Gi-Oh! and such, but no… It’s different. I think Selector Infected WIXOSS could prove to be quite the interesting show.
Do I like it? Yes. So far it’s quite interesting and I’m already wondering what’s going to happen during the next episode. I advise all game-genre fans to give this a try. It’s definitely worth it.
Plot Summary: WIXOSS is a card game that’s popular with teenagers. Supposedly there exist “Rulig Cards,” female character cards with wills of their own. Special girls can hear the voices of the Ruligs, and those who possess them are called Selectors. These Selectors have card battles in a dimension that other humans cannot access. It’s said that whoever triumphs in these battles will have their wish granted. Ruko Kominato is the latest girl to find a Rulig card. She names hers Tama, and without any further explanation is thrown into her life as a Selector.
