Selector Spread WIXOSS
The funding for this project must’ve been substantial. I heard that both the DVD sales and the overall ratings were rather disappointing. I for once would never have given this a second season since I barely made it through the first one.
The story is the biggest problem for me. It just gets so repetitive and dull that it just makes me want to stop watching. The first season was like that. At one point it actually started becoming so predictable that I actually managed to predict the ending quite accurately.
Do I recommend this? Only to those that liked the first season. The people whom, like me, barely made it through the first season probably won’t finish this season. I am fairly certain I won’t.
Plot Summary: WIXOSS is a card game that’s popular with teenagers. Supposedly there exist “LRIG Cards,” female character cards with wills of their own. Special girls can hear the voices of the LRIGs, and those who possess them are called Selectors. These Selectors have card battles in a dimension that other humans cannot access. It’s said that whoever triumphs in these battles will have their wish granted. Ruko Kominato is the latest girl to find an LRIG card. She names her card Tama, and without any further explanation is thrown into her life as a Selector.
