Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso episode 22
I knew it. The ending was so predictable. In fact, half of the story was so predictable that it renders my overall opinion of Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso quite low. Never mind the fact that they killed off the best character on the show. It being so predictable is by far the worst thing about this story.
So yeah, I supposed I hit the mark spot-on when I said that Kaori would probably die during that operation and during Kousei’s performance. Anyone could’ve seen that one coming. But it’s not just that. Its other parts of the story that were simply too predictable. Nevertheless, I think that Kaori’s condition throughout the show, probably a way to crank up the drama, was the biggest problem due to everything around it being so incredibly predictable that the rest of the story, as interesting as it was at times, became less and less amusing.
Still, I must admit that I really liked that letter. That might’ve been the best thing that happened for the past few months to be very honest. It shows that Kaori loved Kousei all along, and that she only used that soccer freak to get close to him. I mean, it was quite obvious that she and Kousei were a much better match.
Soccer boy and Baseball girl are a good match. Not Kousei and soccer girl or soccer boy and Kaori. But that was obvious since episode one. It’s still just a damn shame that they had to kill Kaori, but at least it was a beautiful story in general. Not to mention the incredible artwork. Kudos.
