Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso episode 06
I like the way this is going! The protagonist is finally starting to go his own way and I don’t think I have to worry about him ruining his beloved blonde’s chances for success any longer. It’s only a matter of time before he gets over that trauma of his.
The episode had a great start. I got to enjoy another glimpse of their childhood and I saw a crying Kousei and a crying Tsubaki. It was both moving and adorable. I could definitely do with a few more of those scenes. Tsubaki wasn’t nearly as boyish as she is now. I can’t blame Kousei for seeing her as family instead of a potential life partner.
The start was good, but when I actually saw that Kaori had borrowed Kousei’s shower and t-shirt… Oh yeah! I don’t even care that Kaori lost her a mind a little when she saw that dusty piano. After all, it led to that hilarious scene where Tsubaki laid eyes upon an annoyed Kaori and a very nervous Kousei. I watched that scene 5 times before I continued watching the rest.
It truly was a great episode. Kaori is finally coming to terms with everything, Kousei is finally moving forward after being motivated a bit, Tsubaki, although she had a little set-back, knows exactly what she wants and even that annoying Ryouta has a something that he wants to achieve. It’s safe to say that things are going well for all of them.
It’ll be interesting to see if Kousei’s music will measure up with the rest of the contestants. Some of them really have it out for him. Still, that’s not what bothers me. What bothers me is that Ryouta is still obsess with Kaori and vice versa, even though Kousei and Kaori make a much better couple. Ryouta should just set his sights on someone with the same interests (like Tsubaki).
