Oh my god, there is more!? There are countless of Precure shows already, but they just keep increasing. Is this show really doing that well? I can’t understand it, but maybe that’s because this isn’t exactly my type of anime. In fact; I don’t think I know any guys that do like to watch shows like these, as it seems more like something your average girl would enjoy.
I barely made it through the first episode, so I can’t say too much about the artwork. However, it did seem pretty smooth. The characters look really well, the background is pretty detailed, and would it not be for all that feminine… crap, then I would’ve followed this show, probably… maybe.
I could say very little about the artwork, but I can say even less about this anime’s story. A show about fairies or fairy tale characters that try to protect their mystical kingdom from an evil villain called “Emperor Pierrot”. Seriously, doesn’t that just scream; “hey dude, don’t you dare watch me, I’m female-only content”?
As a guy there’s only one thing I can say… yeah, one thing; kill it with fire! However, as an unbiased anime blogger I would have to say that this show requires a lot of imagination. It’s very colourful, cheerful and at times a little strange. But I’m sure a lot of people enjoy this show, otherwise there wouldn’t be so many adaptions and/or remakes. I suggest that you give the first episode a try, as I’m sure that there are a lot of guys out there that enjoy watching lolicon-type characters running and jumping all over the place in Smile Precure.
Plot Summary: Once upon a time, there was a kingdom of fairy tales called “Märchenland”, where many fairy tale characters live together in joy. Suddenly, the evil emperor Pierrot made an invasion on Märchenland, sealing its Queen in the process. To revive the Queen, the symbol of happiness called Cure Decor, “the Queen’s scattered power of light of happiness”, is required. To collect the Cure Decor, a fairy named Candy searches for the Pretty Cures on Earth. There, Candy meets a girl, who decides to collect the Cure Decor. Now, will the world earn a “happy ending”?
