Space Brothers episode 49

It’s funny how Space Brothers’ ratings continue to swing up and down as the story swings from boring to interesting. Mind you, I’m still not pleased with how things are going. They are making a lot of mistakes lately that makes things seem less realistic.

[HorribleSubs] Space Brothers - 49 [720p].mkv_snapshot_07.29_[2013.03.17_22.09.38]Like I made clear last week; I’m not a big fan of that blonde army reject, but his training method is pretty effective. Everyone is going to the max because of the training. I don’t really see the connection to be honest, but it’s definitely doing something. How will walking through the dessert, looking for food and stuff, help them in their dream to go to outer space? They don’t have to go looking for food out there, they don’t have to set up tents and they certainly don’t have to walk days on end. There’s plenty of food up there, they sleep inside a shuttle or station and they usually have vehicles at their disposal when they land on a planet.

[HorribleSubs] Space Brothers - 49 [720p].mkv_snapshot_19.18_[2013.03.17_22.10.20]I’m just glad that my hunch was right; Kenji does not make a good leader. He’s far too soft. You can clearly see he’s a father. He’s a pushover and doesn’t know how to take control. It’s like he expects people to just follow him unconditionally, no matter how bad things get. It definitely doesn’t work like that.

Still, Kenji is not nearly as bad as Reiji. Reiji is definitely a strict leader, but he’s far too selfish. He’s strict because it benefits him somehow. He probably wouldn’t care if it didn’t help him to get one step closer to his goal. It’s quite clear that Mutta’s the most suitable person here. He can be strict, things of others and is definitely not the type of person to leave someone behind if it meant sacrificing himself. Mutta number one!
