Space Brothers episode 70
This time-consuming bullsh*t of Space Brothers is really starting to piss me off. It’s bad enough that we have to make do two and a half minutes of recaps during each and every episode, which could’ve been better spent on the actual story, but now they’re also using one and a half minute at the end of each episode for that cartoon rabbit nonsense. How infuriating…
I must say, despite being disappointed over and over again by all that wasteful content at the beginning and at the end of every episode, I still think this episode turned out to be a success. It shows us a whole new side of Mutta-kun. He was offered a seat as a back-up astronaut for a mission to the ISS, also known as the International Space Station. Any astronaut would bend over backwards for such an opportunity, but Mutta respectfully declined and recommended Serika, a character that has been dying to go there to find a cure for certain deceases, for that mission. Now that’s a selfless and respectable decision, I must say!
It’s quite ironic, like Mutta said so himself, that he, a former top-dog that used to engineer cars, has now been assigned to a group of NASA engineers that have been tasked to create a buggy that doesn’t fall. Will Mutta be able to squeeze out another miracle that might end their eighteen month-old quest for a working solution? Let’s face it; Mutta comes up with great ideas!
Also, I think he’s on the right path. He’s working with engineers right now, but he is working on equipment that’s meant to go to the moon. This might lead to new opportunities, provided he proves himself during his time as a trainee-engineer. This might actually give him the edge, seeing as she’s learning a lot about those moon vehicles right now.
