Space Brothers episode 93
We are nearing the one hundred episode mark and we’re still watching Mutta train for a possible space mission. He’s not even a regular. He’s training as someone’s backup. I cannot help but wonder when we’re going to see that guy in space already. One cannot help but get a little impatient, you know?
I was actually quite surprised at how Hibito recovered. They made such a big deal about his inability to wear space suits because of what happened on the moon, but now look at him. He’s doing great and he’s walking around as though he doesn’t have a care in the world. It’s just too easy… A panic disorder is nothing to laugh about and it’s not something you can overcome easily.
This episode had two focus points. The first would have to be Sharon’s new approach to build a telescope on the moon that will allow astronomers to discover things that they could only dream of. This was too much work and very costly because it would require a lot of maintenance. This problem should be over and done with after Sharon introduced her latest ideas.
The second (and most important) point is that Eddie Jay, brother of Brian Jay, a famous astronaut that died during a bad pod landing, is being recruited as captain to lead a team to the moon in order to build that telescope. Quite an interesting approach and one can almost tell what they’re about to do, but I’m just a little worried that we’re about to embark upon a journey of ten to twenty more episodes where Mutta will be constantly training to go to the moon. This may be just me, but I’m getting tired of that. Watching him as he learned to pilot jets was quite entertaining. His NEEMO training was cool, too. But now I’m ready for some space action!
