Space Brothers episode 99

Almost… Just one more episode… Just one more episode and my suffering is over. It will take a miracle for me to continue writing about Space Brothers. I’ve seen next week’s preview and I’m really not impressed. Not even a little bit.

[HorribleSubs] Space Brothers - 99 [720p].mkv_snapshot_15.28_[2014.03.22_23.44.20]So Vince and his colleagues have finally left earth and you’d think that that would get the ratings back up again. I doubt it. I can already see it… He left for a mission and there’s going to be another little problem that Mutta will probably end up solving. Space Brothers has been following the exact same pattern ever since the show started. It’s becoming really obvious…

Do I still enjoy Space Brothers? No. Those days are gone. I’d rather see the end of it so that another good show could have a chance. Wouldn’t you all rather see a couple of dozen Gin no Saji episodes? Or perhaps more Hajime no Ippo episodes? Space Brothers just became too predictable for me to enjoy. That’s all there is to it.

Update 30/03/2014: Space Brothers has been cancelled. This was the final episode, which means that I am finally free. I knew that Space Brothers wouldn’t last much longer. It is over and it ended with a crappy ending, as could only be expected from a cancelled show.

Space Brothers episode 99 screencaps

  1. I agree the show got toned down after episode 60 or so, but saying that the show deserved to be cancelled is just bullshit.
There were so many setups that had their payoffs burried by this cancellation, the biggest one obviously being Mutta ACTUALLY GOING TO SPACE.

It was heartbreaking to see the show got cancelled because the amount of shit that still goes around without even flinching *cough*NARUTO*Cough* is just unreal, while a show with real, developed characters gets pounded because it doesn’t have explosions every other episode as a minimum.

This show DID NOT DESERVE TO GET CANCELLED.
