Majimoji Rurumo episode 03

Yet another strange turn in Majimoji Rurumo. I truly have no idea what to expect from this anymore. All I know is that I still like what I see and that I still want to continue writing about it. I could do without Rurumo’s kiddy panties though. I somehow think it’s wrong to air that…

[Anime-Koi] Majimoji Rurumo - 03 [h264-720p][12F74CA6].mkv_snapshot_01.00_[2014.07.25_23.28.40]So Rurumo got a job at Kouta’s school as a cafeteria lady. This sounds interesting and somewhat promising, but it’s Rurumo we’re talking about. She’s barely capable of being a witch, much less a manual worker. This results in Rurumo always being around Kouta. Not sure if this was part of her plan (if she has any) or if it’s just coincidence (let’s face it; we can rule out the possibility of this being a mere coincidence). Not that I mind seeing her bored-to-death face. Rurumo-chan is cute no matter what she does, what she wears or where she is.

This Mahou Shoujo-wannabe joined their club and I thought that it was Kouta she was after. I immediately thought about a love triangle, but that idea got crushed when she jumped the club captain and left Kouta standing there like an idiot.

I know one thing: we need more Rurumo. I think the character is brilliant. The more I look, the more I love it. I can only hope that Kouta breaks through her poker face soon and strikes a chord or two. Rurumo deserves to smile a bit more. I wonder what it would look like… A smiling Rurumo… It needs to happen, dammit!

Majimoji Rurumo episode 02

Yeah. I must. I love this too much to leave it alone. It was the same with Witch Craft Works. I watched the first episode and I just fell in love. I watched the first episode of Rurumo and I immediately realized that I wanted to watch and review this from start to finish.

[Anime-Koi] Majimoji Rurumo - 02 [h264-720p][7AACC633].mkv_snapshot_07.04_[2014.07.18_23.38.17]Of course, that’s only provided that Rurumo doesn’t drastically change any time soon. Everything is just great right now. Rurumo is quite the dullard and she knows nothing about boys and their desires. Well, maybe she does know a little, but the fact that she accepted to live in the same room as him says a lot. No girl that knows what boys want would ever agree to that. That’s why I love this show. The protagonist is an idiot that thinks about R-rated stuff all the time, but fails to put the dots on the “I” whenever it matters. Those two just make an excellent combination.

[Anime-Koi] Majimoji Rurumo - 02 [h264-720p][7AACC633].mkv_snapshot_20.05_[2014.07.18_23.39.02]I liked that part where Kouta’s friends were ogling Rurumo when she was changing into something more comfortable (I guess?) – Which was all the time first time I realized that Rurumo-chan really is a child. It may have been wrong of me to see her as a female character that would know about sex. You cannot expect a little girl to know about sex (those that do will go to hell).

I don’t like the fact that Rurumo-chan used memory alteration magic to become part of Kouta’s family. She is now a niece of some kind and is accepted into the household just like that. I think it would’ve a lot funnier if Kouta were to hide her a little bit longer in his room. Still, Rurumo-chan is pleased with it and that is all that matters to me.

Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance

How this managed to get a higher rating than Majimoji Rurumo I will never know. All I will say is that I found this to be quite disappointing. I was expecting something more original than this.

Seirei Tsukai no Blade DanceThe artwork, I think, is not the problem here. The characters look alright and they obviously invested a lot of time and money in making it look so detailed. So yeah, very little complaints about the artwork right now.

The story is what disappointed me. It’s so predictable and not all that original. It has the elements of Zero no Tsukaima (magic and all that) and Infinite Stratos (where only one boy can do what usually only girls can do). I just wasn’t very impressed by it.

Well, I suppose it’s a little ecchi so I might give the second and third episode a try, but I will only recommend this to comedy and fantasy fanatics for me. This will really depend on a person’s personal preference.

Plot Summary: Only a pure maiden can have the privilege to contract with a spirit. In here, Areishia Spirit Academy, trained maidens of noble families are gathered and given an elite’s education to become spirit contractors. A boy, Kamito, peeped by accident at a girl, Clair, while she was taking a bath and he ended up making a contract with the spirit she wanted. Yes, Kamito is an irregular boy spirit contractor whose existence was thought impossible until now. “You stole…my spirit…you have to take responsibility for it!” “Huh?” “You have to become my contracted spirit!” What will Kamito’s destiny lead to?

Majimoji Rurumo

Oh my… Japan is on a roll with witch anime! With Craft Works was absolutely delightful and I am still hoping for some news about the possibility of a second season. Still, this, Majimoji Rurumo, was very nice, too. I really liked it and I think I might write about it as well. This was a very nice surprise.

Majimoji RurumoThe artwork is quite nice. It’s not amazing, but it’s not bad. They created this loli character with a poker face and an enormous witch hat. You want to pick her up and cuddle her until every bit of air has left her lungs. Good stuff!

I like the story as well. A perverted guy wishes for a pair of girls’ panties and sees his wish granted by a tiny witch whom gave him her own panties, only to be punished by her superiors because she is not allowed to give humans her property. Pretty interesting…

I honestly do recommend this. Don’t believe the user ratings. It really is funny and interesting and I believe it shows a lot of promise. It was the same with Witch Craft Works; people were put off at first but came to love it in the end.

Plot Summary: Shibaki is a high-school boy whose only interest is girls. Except he’s been branded as the most hentai boy at school and the girls avoid him like the plague. One day he finds a book in the library about how to summon witches. He tries it as a joke, but it turns out to be the real thing. An apprentice witch named Rurumo appears to grant him a wish. Shibaki helps Rurumo and she in return refuses to take his soul. (This part of this story happened before the start of chapter1) When the story starts, Shibaki wishes he could see Rurumo again. His wishes is granted immediately as Rurumo falls from the sky and crash lands in front of him. He finds out that as punishment for not taking his soul she’s been busted down to an apprentice demon. Now, she must complete the task of getting Shibaki to use up 666 magic tickets that grant wishes before she can become a witch again. However, what she doesn’t know is that each time he uses a ticket it shortens his life. When the last ticket is used up, Shibaki will die. Shibaki knows this because Rurumo’s familiar black cat Chiro tell him as part of the “contract” for giving him the tickets. Now, Shibaki has a choice, make a wish and help Rurumo become a witch again or resist the temptation and try to save his own life.

Jinsei

I got it right first time! I told myself that this, Jinsei, would be mediocre at the very best and I was completely spot-on! I don’t want to sound like I’m overreacting, but finishing the first episode without skipping through it was quite the challenge.

JinseiI’m a bit disappointed by how plain the characters look. Pretty much all of them. Yuuki, Rino, Fumi… I would not be able to recognize either one of them if you put them in a line-up. Well, maybe I would recognize Rino if she was wearing her glasses and white coat, but that’s about it.

I’m afraid that the story isn’t that much better. I got really bored there. That little competition with the water balloons was pretty funny, but it ends there.

I honestly didn’t expect much more from this one, and I don’t usually talk badly about ecchi anime unless they really do disappoint. I’m afraid I cannot recommend this one.

Plot Summary: Yuki joins his school’s Newspaper Club and is put in charge of the advice column. Part of his task is to mediate between the 3 girls who are the staff of the advice column, who are often at odds, and choose the best answer to the questions.
