Tokyo Ghoul √A episode 12

Well, I don’t think it would take a genius to see that there’s definitely another season coming in the (near) future.  And why not? The Tokyo Ghoul series have been a huge success in ratings and the first season has done quite well in sales as well.

[Ohys-Raws] Tokyo Ghoul A - 12 END (MX 1280x720 x264 AAC).mp4_snapshot_07.41_[2015.03.27_23.52.15]Now then; Ken has once again lost another friend. First it was the old man and now his best friend, Hide. I thought it was quite touching how that guy knew from the start that Ken had become a ghoul. He knew and he still helped Ken by taking him to safety after his fight against the almighty Amon-kun. Not only did he do that because he was his friend, he did it even though he was fatally wounded himself. He didn’t care about seeking medical attention, he just wanted to drag Ken to a quiet spot where his colleagues wouldn’t be able to find and kill him. Now that’s true friendship for you!

[Ohys-Raws] Tokyo Ghoul A - 12 END (MX 1280x720 x264 AAC).mp4_snapshot_18.57_[2015.03.27_23.52.39]And Touka? Yeah. She just almost everyone. She still has a few friends left on the planet, but the Anteiku staff have given their lives in the attempt to defend their beloved café.  It’s a damn shame that it burned down, but Touka already decided to continue its legacy if I saw correctly. Nice to see that the deaths of so many of her friends didn’t end up destroying her life.

As for Ken… Well… He took Hide’s body back to his colleagues. Probably so they can give him a proper burial. Was it a smart move? Not at all. He was standing against a guy that took on the real One-Eyed Owl on his own. How the hell is Ken supposed to beat someone like that when he couldn’t even deal with the ghoul that he helped save a few weeks ago? We’ll just have to wait till the next season I guess…

Parasyte episode 24

And so our happy ending finally arrives. Parasyte truly was a stroke of brilliance. This author isn’t all that known when compared to some of the others out there. He really did it big when he created Parasyte. This anime adaption is one to be remembered for sure.

[HorribleSubs] Parasyte - the maxim - 24 [720p].mkv_snapshot_03.29_[2015.03.25_23.39.44]So things went back to normal or as normal as things get in a world where parasitic killing machines live amongst you. They adapted to the human way of life. They started eating the same food, doing work to earn money and they seemed to have learned to control themselves, which goes to show that a display of necessary force was all that was really needed to get them to back down. Well, that and the fact that Shinichi and Migi killed the strongest of them last week. I guess this means that humans are once again on top of the food chain in the world of Parasyte.

[HorribleSubs] Parasyte - the maxim - 24 [720p].mkv_snapshot_18.51_[2015.03.25_23.40.14]Now then, I knew that insane killer would show up again at some point. I had no idea it was going to go down that way, but I am not entirely sure I disliked it. The only thing that I disliked is that I have no idea if he survived or not. I mean, a superhuman punch to the face from an emotional boyfriend trying to save his girlfriend sounds pretty damaging to me…

Nevertheless, humanity has won and Shinichi survived all of his trials and has started a new chapter in his life. He is going to finish school, work on his relationship and hope that one day he might be able to speak to Migi again. I’ll admit that I don’t see the value of Migi going to sleep for a long time, but it do think it’s a nice touch. Well done, Mr. Iwaaki (the author).

Tokyo Ghoul √A episode 11

I hate myself for saying this; but this post has to be kept short due to a gross shortage of time. That and I feel like I’m about to die. I think that nasty fever has returned or something because I feel absolutely terrible.

[Ohys-Raws] Tokyo Ghoul A - 11 (MX 1280x720 x264 AAC).mp4_snapshot_17.11_[2015.03.19_23.13.28]Anyway, this long-awaited episode finally aired and I watched it with a smile on my face. I watched how the real One-eyed Owl tore apart the bastards that took down the old man. I don’t know if that really is that man’s daughter, seeing as she laughed quite a lot, but that ghoul definitely seemed to care enough to get really angry.

What about reckless Ken? Well, I guess he’s improving. He did not surrender to the madness within and maintained in control the entire time during his fight against Amon-chan. I just want to see how this’ll end. I don’t think he’s going to attack his old friend and I don’t think that One-eyed Owl is going to win somehow. Things are not looking well. I can’t wait to see what happens!

Parasyte episode 23

Good episode. We all knew that Migi was still alive and that he would return to Shinichi, so I am not going to moan about it being predictable or anything. It was only to be expected, otherwise the story would’ve been pointless.

[HorribleSubs] Parasyte - the maxim - 23 [720p].mkv_snapshot_07.30_[2015.03.18_23.12.59]So Shinichi went back there to face that supposedly invincible monster on his own. One superhuman versus a monster that consist out of several parasites and one parasitic overlord. I thought it was kind of weird that he returned with that rusty chopper, but in the end he managed to do incredible damage with a rusty piece of metal that was supposedly poisonous due to all sorts of chemicals and whatnot. That poison destroyed Gotou’s body, causing all the other parasites to fear for their survival, and allowing Migi to return to Shinichi’s side.

[HorribleSubs] Parasyte - the maxim - 23 [720p].mkv_snapshot_15.51_[2015.03.18_23.13.11]It was quite an interesting turn of events, I’ll give ‘em that, but I believe it could’ve been executed a bit better to be very honest. I mean, Migi exited his body after taking down some vital organs. Why when the poison was all that was necessary for the other parasites to run amok? Was that the cherry on top of the cake or was it just to make sure?

Either way; Shinichi chopped down Gotou before he got the chance to regenerate. Smart move. You don’t want a monster like that running around. You’d be looking over your shoulder for the rest of your life if you’d let him live. But still, part of me believes that there’s more bad stuff coming. After all; that murderer was quite interested in Shinichi and he did manage to escape, remember? I am pretty sure I am right about this.

Tokyo Ghoul √A episode 10

Okay, I guess it’s ghoul time again. I must say that this episode was rather predictable. That’s not something that I can really say often about Tokyo Ghoul. It was one of those episodes that a regular anime viewer such as myself could see coming from a mile away.

[Ohys-Raws] Tokyo Ghoul A - 10 (MX 1280x720 x264 AAC).mp4_snapshot_10.06_[2015.03.12_23.53.11]So the battle between man and ghoul has started and you could tell that those ghouls really had it rough. More and more of those soldiers with specialized weapons kept showing up and more and more ghouls kept getting killed by them. Even two of Anteiku’s strongest ghoul warriors couldn’t handle all of that firepower. I mean, it is kind of unfair to fight four against one, but in that ape’s case it was fair. He lost in a one versus one matchup and he lost fair and square. No excuses there. But still, strength in number is a valid tactic when you are up against a small army of ghouls.

[Ohys-Raws] Tokyo Ghoul A - 10 (MX 1280x720 x264 AAC).mp4_snapshot_22.36_[2015.03.12_23.53.32]What annoyed me was that Ken showed up late again as usual. That guy always arrives when it’s too late. It was the same thing in season one. He showed up when the battle was practically over and when one (or more) of his loved ones had been taken from him. I doubt that they’re ever going to change that clichéd pattern.

But no, what caught my interest is Ken’s fight against Amon and his little army and the devastation that the real One-eyed Owl will unleash now that the old man has been killed. Aren’t you curious to see what the real one can do? I mean, he got angry as hell and entered this super-ghoul mode that simply piqued my interest instantly. I can hardly wait for the next episode…
