Makura no Danshi

This was the absolute worst. I hate the person who came up with this, I hate the studios who worked on this, I hate the network(s) that aired this and I hate myself for actually watching four minutes of it. What a dreadful anime short.

Makura no DanshiI will admit that the artwork is good for an anime short. It’s surprisingly detailed, even though it’s this bad a show…

The problem is the story; there is none. All I saw was some gay teenager talking about tight butts and wanting a guy to sleep with him. Subtlety is dead I guess…

I cannot recommend this. If homosexuality was contagious, and let the record show that I think it is, then this is definitely one of the ways to catch it. My god…

Plot Summary: Featuring 12 “Makura no Danshi” (pillow boys), all full of distinctly individual personalities and each catering to viewers who like a certain “type.” The boys all live in the same town underneath a starry sky. Each of the “Makura no Danshi” will star his own weekly episode as they “sleep beside you and whisper.”

Akagami no Shirayuki-hime

I was so not waiting for this one. The more I read about it the more I didn’t care. I thought it was going to be a cheap rip-off story with cheap artwork to match. This turned out to be quite the entertaining surprise.

Akagami no Shirayuki-himeThe artwork is good. Usually things turn out great when Bones and FUNimation are involved. The level of detail is pretty good and I suspect that it’ll get even better once we get to explore their world a bit more as time passes.

Yes, the story does have one or two things that are similar to Disney’s story, but I can overlook that. This seems actually pretty interesting.

I can definitely recommend this to fantasy and romance fans. This might be one of those nice surprises that you encounter every now and then.

Plot Summary: Shirayuki is a beautiful girl working as a medicine woman with red hair, a color that is considered very rare. When she is proposed and chased after by the prince of her country, she cuts her hair and runs away, only to meet Zen, the prince of a neighboring country. Finding respect for the young man, she decides to serve at his side as his court doctor.

Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji Love Revolutions

I will never understand people’s fascination with this show. Honestly, I feel so uncomfortable when watching this sort of thing. I simply cannot understand why people would find this sort of thing amusing enough for it to get three seasons.

Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji Love RevolutionsSo you start watching this show and you immediately realize that they made this with a specific target audience in mind. This was obviously made for teenage girls. A show filled with pretty anime boys that sing and dance and do god only knows what else.

The story? I honestly cannot give a fair review when it comes to the story. I am simply not interested in this sort of thing so I am not going to say anything about that at this time.

Do I recommend it? I honestly cannot. If you like pretty-boy anime where they sing, dance, frolic and play then go ahead and enjoy yourself.

Plot Summary: Haruka Nanami now works under Shining, the same agency with ST☆RISH and veteran idol group QUARTET NIGHT. With an upcoming international sports event looking for performers for its opening ceremony, fierce competitions between idols are surely expected.

Shin Strange+

I really do not understand the average Japanese mind at all. Strange+ was poorly received in the west and the average ratings for the show are all but good. Why create a second season? How is this stuff getting funded? I am really curious…

Shin Strange+The only good thing I can say about Strange+ is that the artwork is better than most anime shorts. Really, it is. That’s pretty much it though.

No bother with the story. You won’t be watching anything with a decent story if the episodes end after a couple of minutes.

I won’t waste my time with this stuff, so why should you? This is entirely up to you.

Plot Summary: Kou is searching for his older brother Takumi, who left home and has gone missing in the city. Worried that he’s in trouble, Kou decides not to go home until he’s found him, only to find him all too easily. Takumi, it turns out, has become head of the Mikuni Detective Agency, and has no intention of going back home. Kou decides that if he can’t make Takumi return, then he’ll join the agency himself.
