High School Star Musical

If anime could kill then this could’ve been lethal stuff. My god… It took every ounce of willpower to see it through to the end. At one point I started becoming afraid of the idea that one character might just end up violating the other all of a sudden.

High School Star MusicalThe artwork is just… wow. I know that FUNimation has worked on some pretty bad anime, but this? It’s almost like Chaos Dragen or Sekai de Ichiban Tsuyoku Naritai all over again. If you want to improve this show then give the student some instruments that turn into weapons and set up a battle royal.

I am simply not a huge music fan. Very few shows about music I liked. Those that I liked were more about characters playing certain instruments. Watching a bunch of boys sing every week just isn’t my thing.

I just cannot recommend it. It doesn’t look interesting at all. The artwork needs a lot of work and the story simply doesn’t speak to me. Not one bit.

Plot Summary: Yuuta Hoshiya enters Ayana Academy, a school focusing on show business activities, specifically music. The academy has a group of the three students with the highest grades in the musical department, and they are known as the Kao Kai (Cherry Blossom Flower Association). This organization stands at the top of the pecking order within the academy. The shortcut to entering the musical department is to enter the Star Frame class, which is directly taught by the members, and to be recognized by them. Unfortunately, due to their own problems, students Tōru, Kaito, Shō, Shū, and Yūta are all struggling to even remain candidates for the musical department. By a stroke of luck, however, the five are spotted by Kao Kai member Ōtori, and they pique his interest.

Ame-iro Cocoa: Rainy Color e Youkoso!

Another anime short. I really am saying that a lot this season. GameDemon is not amused. I simply do not understand why this got a second season. The first season got poor ratings in Japan, so why?

Ame-iro Cocoa Rainy Color e Youkoso!Where do I even start my rant about how much I hate the artwork because they’re all gay-looking male characters? Would it kill them to throw in a few female characters? They just throw in a few shota’s and that’s that.

I mean, it’s bad if a show only has 5 minutes per week. Doesn’t do much for a story. It’s worse if a show only has three minutes per week. That makes it almost impossible to come up with a decent story. So how much of a story could a show like this, which has only two minutes per week, possible have? Honestly…

I’m simply not into these cheap slide of life comedies. Hell, it’s not even funny. That nonsense with that door? Come on. You must really have a weak sense of humour if you laugh at that. I definitely won’t be watching this and I don’t see what I should recommend anyone otherwise.

Plot Summary: Life at the Rainy Color café can never be described as boring. The arrival of the Koga brothers from England—Noel, always brimming with curiosity, and Nicola, somewhat shy and conservative—ensures that their sibling, café manager Shion, is kept on his toes. There’s also another newcomer, cameraman/photographer Jun Arisawa, who holds a mysterious connection to café owner Koji Amami. Last but not least, there’s a special photograph that incites all kinds of heartfelt and comedic reactions from the Rainy Color crew!

Komori-san wa Kotowarenai!

So many anime shorts… There’s no end to them. I suppose this is yet another one of those watchable anime shorts since it does allow for a good laugh.

Komori-san wa Kotowarenai! The artwork is alright. It’s above average for your average anime short. I also like Shuri, one of the main characters of the show.

Far be it from me to judge, but there really isn’t much of a story. It’s about a girl that can’t say no to other people. That’s pretty much all there is to it.

It’s three minutes a week and the first episode was actually kind of funny. Why not just give this a try? This might actually be perfect for when you need to take a crap and you want something to do during that process. Just watch this for three minutes.

Plot Summary: Middle school student Shuri Komori is too kind and is unable to say no when someone asks her for a favor. However, she has gained various amazing abilities as a result.

Itoshi no Muco

Yeah, this is ridiculous. Ridiculous, but very watchable. It’s not amazing and I certainly wouldn’t go around telling people to watch this, but the first episode managed to squeeze out a few laughs. That’s enough for me for now.

Itoshi no MucoThe artwork is not at all good. It’s funny sometimes, but that’s it. What can you expect? It’s made by a studio whose most popular work was probably Thermae Romae, another annoying anime short.

The story is practically nonexistent. It’s about a somewhat funny dog and his/her owner’s lives.

I suppose it is fun to watch if you have nothing else going on. The first episode managed to make me laugh so I will be giving the second episode a try.

Plot Summary: The manga depicts the life of the pet dog Muco and his owner Komatsu, who lives in his glass-making workshop in the mountains.

Miss Monochrome: The Animation 3

I will never understand these series. I thought the first season was absolutely dreadful, I thought the second season was just as dreadful as the first and now I think that the third season will be just as dreadful as the first two seasons. No idea why this because so successful.

Miss Monochrome The Animation 3The artwork is surprisingly good for an anime short. I mean, sometimes you’ll see these hideous scenes that make you want to cry, but overall it’s pretty acceptable.

I personally just don’t like music anime. It would have to be pretty darn good for me to become a fan.

I simply cannot recommend any of these series. I hate it. I think it’s an absolute waste of time to watch it.

Plot Summary: In order to be more in the eyes of the public, Miss Monochrome begins working to become a top-selling idol. Spacey Miss Monochrome once again runs around the idol show biz world, being tossed around by others.
