I laughed so hard when I first read the story about Akuma no Riddle. This was supposed to be the one show that could save Yuri anime. There is no saving Yuri anime. It’s always going to be “good” at best. A Yuri masterpiece has yet to be made.
I must say that I’m really digging the artwork here. The characters look pretty cool, especially that scarred girl, and the scenery is quite gloomy and thrilling. This could be a pretty good thriller if the author ever wanted to.
I’m not so sure about the story though. Maybe it’s the first episode that’s just lacking the necessary information, but all I could see is a bunch of trained murderers and one normal girl that they are supposed to kill. Not much of a story…
Do I recommend this? Action fans might like it, sure… Don’t worry about girl on girl love, it’s all good. I doubt it’s going to get boring when the characters are trying to kill each other twenty four hours a day.
Plot Summary: Haru Ichinose is a student at a private girls’ boarding school, Myōjō Academy, who is being targeted by 12 assassins disguised as students and Tokaku Azuma is a transfer student and an assassin who also initially targets Haru, but develops feeling for her and decides to protect her from the other assassins.Read More
I have no idea why people are talking so highly about Sakura Trick. I honestly don’t know. It’s slightly better than average, which is very generously put. It wasn’t all that entertaining and I’m not sure if I’m going to continue watching. Finishing the first episode was quite the challenge.
I’m actually put off by the artwork. Character design seems to be one of the few things that they actually worked on. The rest looks like a budget production. The details are bad, the scenarios are mediocre at best and the whole style is just too damn annoying.
Sakura Trick will have to rely on its story. A story about a relationship between two girls is quite rare. There aren’t many of those out there. If Sakura Trick will succeed somehow then it’s definitely because of the story.
Do you have a sweet and slippery hole between your legs? Do you not mind the sight of two girls getting together? Or are you just a guy that’s looking for some girl-on-girl action? This might be for you. I for one will have to wait for the second episode before I decide to either drop or watch this show.
