The Knight in the Area episode 06

I was looking forward to this week’s episode of The Knight in the Area. I’m sure I don’t need to explain why, after all; the match between the school’s two clubs has started. A match that should decide which one of these two teams is going to represent the school for the unforeseeable future.

It was remarkable to see Kakeru doing so well. He has completely gotten accustomed to his new life without his brother. It was very unfortunate that Kakeru and his new team had that much difficulty against the school’s number one team. Hell, they could only barely keep up with them. It’s not actually a difference in skill, well… not much anyway. It’s a physical difference. Kakeru’s team consists of average built players, not too tall but not too short. But the other team… my god, some of their players look like brick chicken houses.  But their captain stands out amongst all of them, seeing as he’s on a whole different level than the rest of them.

Like I said; the game started out sluggishly for Kakeru and his team. They got behind in points but he managed to score a goal with the help of his team. This boosted their spirits alright, but it wasn’t nearly enough to bring them victory. Things only got worse from there on out; players had gotten tired, the team’s morale had gotten to an all-time low and everything the team did was completely ineffective.

Yeah… until Araki, also known as “king of the field” amongst the players, joined the party. I’m sure we all remember Araki; he was that fat guy that made some comedy club. My god was he fat, but suddenly he shows up looking with a pro’s body. What the hell? He did he get from being so far, to having such a fine-tuned body in just a short amount of time. I’m not sure that’s even physically possible.

This week’s episode was pretty good. I personally don’t like to sit behind the TV watching soccer for over ninety minutes, but I have no problems with it if it’s like this. Still, the whole Araki thing bothers me. How could he possibly have lost that much weight in such a short period? I really hope that he’s going to explain that, but because this show is supposed to be realistic.

  1. So what if he’s slim again? Strict dieting, cardio and roadwork programs do that to a person. I’m not sure how much time has passed between Araki and Kakeru’s conversation and the day of the match between the two clubs, but it should be possible for a person to lose a lot of weight in a short amount of time with he right program.
