The Knight in the Area episode 07

Ah, I was looking forward to seeing this episode. I’m glad that they went deeper into Arakai’s spectacular transformation, although I’m still not actually convinced. It must’ve been absolute hell if he managed to drop that much weight in such a short period of time. And that’s not even what bothers me most. What bothers me most is his arrogant attitude. The Knight in the Area just got a tiny bit harder to watch.

Anyway… the show is looking better. Not just the show, Kakeru is doing a lot better too. He’s dedicated to soccer again, is less afraid of the unknown and he is slowly starting to use his left again. It’s great that he’s slowly using his left again, that proves that he’s making a lot of progress. He went from being a sad little boy to a strong minded young man in such a short period of time. Okay, so the death of his older brother played a major role in this drastic change, but what’s done is done. Kakeru is doing a lot better now, plus he’s very happy right now, and that’s all that really matters.

Sorry, I digress. The match between the two clubs was pretty intense. At one point their opponents decided on using their own tactics. They didn’t want to lose the match due to the never changing tactics that their coach taught them. They just didn’t want any regrets afterwards, which is why they decided to go their own way. Hell, who can blame them? Araki may be an arrogant prick, but he really did turn the match around. He managed to score a goal within just a minute or two. But that’s not all, he took control of the team by giving them advice on how to improve their game, and that’s what made their opponents change their tactics. I guess that means that he knows what he’s doing.

Meanwhile Kakeru and his team were pushing their way towards victory by scoring yet another goal, making it 3 – 3. I’m not a soccer expert, but the game goes into overtime when there’s a tie. And there’s the golden goal or whatnot, but that’s when it’s still a tie after they played overtime. Anyway, I’m not sure that it’s going to come to that, seeing as Kakeru is about to pull off one hell of a move. I hate it when they set us up with cliff-hangers like that, although I do understand why they do it, lol.

This week’s episode was very amusing. Kakeru has picked up his life completely and is doing better than ever. I’m pretty sure his brother would be very proud of him. He just needs to work more on using his left leg, especially since it’s his dominant leg. His aim is a little bit off since he hasn’t used it in a long time, but that’s nothing a little bit of training can’t fix. I can’t wait to see how he’s going to amuse us next time.

The Knight in the Area episode 07 screencaps

  1. Oppai-Sensei says:

Arakai is really arrogant! it is only a matter of time before he gets what he deserves

  2. Araki’s not worse than Atobe Keigo of Prince of Tennis fame, IMHO. And just as delightful to watch. ^^
