Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S episode 02

Not quite the episode I had expected, but I’m not complaining. The only problem is still Kuroko’s voice. She sounds like an old lady, not like a young girl with a thing for her sister. The voice is off, period. I don’t care what anyone else says.

Rather, I didn’t know they were going to start up the action right away by letting the girls do a wild goose chase all over the city, only to find out that a young girl had been spreading money cards all over the city for people to find and use. I don’t see how a teenage girl would benefit from doing something like that. Neither do I see how a girl her age could have those kinds of resources in order to continue doing that for a lengthy period of time. Strange…

We must all admit that it was quite impressive how she dealt with those thugs. Screw with their minds, throw them off by making them believe something that isn’t true and seize the opportunity when they’re at their weakest. She’s a clever girl indeed, no doubt about that.

I hope to learn a bit more about her next week. I don’t think it’ll lead to a conflict between her and Mikoto, but I doubt that she’ll talk that easily. She struck me as the type of character that knows how to keep a secret, so I’m kind of hoping I’m right. It would be even better if she turned out to be a powerful esper.
