Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S episode 23

Now that this season is coming to an end next week, I think that I have sufficient information to form an opinion on whether this season is better than the first or not. It is. This season contains more action, more structure, a slightly better story and less easy-going episodes.

Never really seems to be going right. I think that introduces an element of unpredictability to an otherwise semi-predictable story. I liked how that guy prevented Mikoto and Shinobu from doing whatever they wanted by planning ahead. It’s safe to say that he won’t allow for insubordination and any other threat that might end up destroying their little project. That is why I think that he could very well be capable of killing both of them if he wanted to. He certainly has the brains for it.

It’s a battle that’s been going on in real-life for many, many centuries. It gives me no pleasure in saying that brains usually conquer all else. That’s probably why jocks always pick on nerds in high school. It’s probably because they know that they’ll probably end up working for those nerds one day.

Anyway, without getting distracted any further, I think the final episode should prove to be both predictable and amusing. We finally caught a glimpse of Febri’s sister and we also know that Febri’s lollipops are running out. I can only image that Mikoto is planning some kind of sink-or-swim-operation. We’ll see.
