Tokyo Ghoul episode 10

Oh Jesus… Why does this annoy me so much? I know that Ken is not an overpowered main character. I am fully aware of that. His weakness and helplessness just continuously gets on my nerves. He might have gotten a little stronger, but the difference between this Ken and the Ken from episode two is minimal.

[Ohys-Raws] Tokyo Ghoul - 10 (MX 1280x720 x264 AAC).mp4_snapshot_03.56_[2014.09.05_23.19.36]So this guy shows up at Ken’s place of work and pretty raises a lot of hell with that annoying voice of his. He shouts, goes on a rampage and talks as though he’s some badass Yakuza. When Ken dropped the guy without actually realizing, I assumed that Ken had gotten a little stronger, even though I was fully aware that it was just an unfortunate accident. He and his little henchmen went through a lot of trouble just to find Rize and warn her that a lot of Ghouls are looking for her. He seemed worried, as though Rize’s life was in danger for some reason. This just piqued my interest…

[Ohys-Raws] Tokyo Ghoul - 10 (MX 1280x720 x264 AAC).mp4_snapshot_11.55_[2014.09.05_23.19.54]Soon a couple of other guys showed up and wrecked the place. Also looking for Rize. What is it with that girl? Has she done something? Is there something special about her that other Ghouls want? Those guys, even “famous” Ghouls, showed up to look for her. One of them nearly killed Ken in the process of finding Rize.

I honestly don’t understand anymore. There are two episodes left and Ken has just been abducted. Will this show end with a weak Ken? Or will he suddenly gain some kind of power boost after fully tapping into his Ghoul powers? I just hope I get to see Yoshimura, the manager of Anteiku café, in action. He must be pretty strong to be their leader.
