Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun episode 11

Great episode! Both Code:Breaker and Space Brothers may disappoint, but I don’t think Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun ever will. I just have this feeling that the end will be very similar to the start, a nice little scene where the two main characters end up kissing. I honestly don’t want that. It needs a little more than that, I think.

Anyway, Haru and Shizuku made quite a bit of progress during this episode, but certainly not thanks to Kenji, who came to the realisation that he has a crush on Shizuku-chan after all. He didn’t like the class, a place filled with “plebeians”, he didn’t like their method of transportation and he certainly didn’t like thinking that they are his equals. Shizuku was probably the only thing that made that place bearable.

Still, it’s no secret that Kenji’s quite the elitist. His family has money and he wants the whole world to know it. Still, no matter how much money he may have, he cannot have the one thing that he wants the most; he cannot have Shizuku. It’s probably killing him that she’s always talking about Haru, and that she’s not the type of girl he usually falls for.

Haru might actually have been the one to have suffered the most. He claimed to have held back the entire time, saying that he wanted to crash that class and spread chaos all over the place. But he didn’t, because he knew that Shizuku would never forgive him for that. That has to mean something, at least. He’s usually not the type to think things through, although he’s still careless when it comes to Kenji. He really doesn’t like it when that guy gets too close to Shizuku.

I’ll just wait to see what happens next. I’d like to point out that my hopes are as high as ever, especially after seeing that awkward, yet romantic scene between Haru and Shizuku. They may be out of sync right now, but they are head over heels for one another, and that is really all that matters in the end.
