Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun
Brilliant! I can tell that it’s going to be yet another good season for anime fans all over. This anime really stunned me. I read the summary and saw a few screenshots, but that’s about it. I’ve never read the manga or any other Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun content. That is why I was pretty sceptical about it, as I had a feeling that this would probably turn out like Natsuyuki Rendezvous, an anime that started out great but ended horribly.
The artwork, surprisingly enough, was great. I loved that slapstick-style artwork. The characters look a bit plain, but I could probably tell Haru apart from other male characters. I have no idea why. Also, I normally hate it when artists focus too much on character expressions, but that doesn’t apply here. The expressions make this anime so much better.
Don’t even get me started about the story. Wow! I suppose that some people might say that they rushed it a bit since it’s just the first episode, but I couldn’t possibly disagree more. The two main characters have become interested in one another, hung out together and even ended up kissing. I can see why people would think that, but you have to keep an open mind here. The kissing bit is over, which means that there’s a lot more room for other things!
You don’t even need to ask. Yes, I most definitely recommend this anime. It is funny, interesting and it has its own unique sense of romance. I can definitely tell that this is going to be one of those rating-dominators.
Plot Summary: Mizutani Shizuku is the type of person who only cares for her own grades. But when she accidentally delivers lesson notes to Yoshida Haru, he becomes convinced they are friends.
Haru turns out to have a very innocent personality, but who would’ve thought that Haru would actually confess to Shizuku?
A cold-hearted girl and super-troublemaker romance with a fresh new perspective.
