Trinity Seven episode 11
You know, the problem with Trinity Seven is that the fights are always so ridiculously childish. The characters are joking around and sometimes they don’t even bother attacking seriously. That’s what it looks like to me.
This episode is a good example of that. Levi was matched against an opponent whose “Thema” is the same as hers. They both are researching the same thing and so you’d think they’d be evenly matched. If that were even remotely true than Levi wouldn’t have to resort to such ridiculous tactics. It really looked like she was just messing around. She hid a lot, faked attacks by claiming it was something else and tried to fool her opponent with lies. All of this was done in a sort of “funny” way in order to try and make us laugh, no doubt. That failed in my case.
It was pretty hard to watch. Levi is still my favourite, but I want to see her fight seriously. Stop messing around with ninja nonsense and attack using real attacks. Her speed and illusions are cool and quite handy, but the way she follows up is stupid. I saw her fight seriously once and that was definitely worth watching.
Anyway, the final episode is up next and I am pretty sure that Arata will resolve everything by talking and showing his “compassionate” side to Hijiri in order to bring her over to his side. We all know what is going to happen. Trinity Seven has probably given us one or two unexpected twists during the past few months. That’s about it.
