Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen episode 08
This disgustingly underrated show of this season just keeps getting better and better. There are a lot of things that I want to say and even though I am still not completely over my gold, I simply refuse to keep this post short.
What I want to get out in the open is the thought of us, the fans, getting to know Haku a bit better. We know almost nothing about him or where he comes from. Now it seems that people have started to take notice of him and, like me, want to know more about him. But that, like with most delicate things, is like a double-edged sword; there’s a chance that if Haku were to remember where he came from that his entire personality changes and that he chooses to go back. I don’t mind if he goes back to wherever he came from at the end of the show, but I wouldn’t like to a change in his personality.
There. I said it. Now that that’s done I can focus on this week’s main event; the possibility of a corrupt general. Well, I say possibility because I hate to jump the gun. But yeah, he’s a dirty pig that ended up endangering everyone at that party by trying to get huge insects to fight each other for sport. That’s bound to go wrong at some point.
I’m not sure if that’s enough evidence to convict that pig (whose name I can’t be bothered to write due to it being so damn annoying). That would mean that a new general would be needed and I am kind of hoping that the owner of the inn or one of Kuon’s other ‘mothers’ gets that spot. Slim that of that happening, but hey, one can still hope.
