Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen episode 13
The calm before the storm is here once again. I may have a little free time now that I don’t have to write posts every day for the past week or so, but that’s all about to change now that the new anime season is about to start.
I can only describe this episode as another fine one. It seems that we can expect a lot of comedy and action during these next few weeks and I am perfectly okay with that. It’s a nice change of pace than having to watch Haku and his band of misfits chase around bugs all the time. Now they have to go up against another empire as they attempt to conquer Yamato head-on. It goes without saying that they will lose miserably, that much is obvious, but the comedy and action that lies ahead makes up for an otherwise predictable end result. We might actually see yet another girl added to Haku’s harem (that female warrior perhaps).
What I am most interested in right now is finding out why the emperor is so interested in Haku. I did not believe that bull about him wanted to talk to someone that treats him like an equal instead of a ruler. I do not see that character in that light. His personality doesn’t really yell out “come talk to me”. There’s more to it than that.
We all knew that Haku would tag along if that general was to go. The real question is why. Why would you send in a guy that couldn’t even defend himself along with a group of girls that, pathetically enough, are all much stronger than Haku? Comedy. That’s why. They are bound to try and squeeze out a few laughs.
